Lemonia brings a Delightful Rustic Charm to Annandale

Lemonia Café is situated in a corner street in Annadale from the outside it greets you like your best friends family home, when inside it’s quite a delightful experience.

It is Saturday lunchtime and the place is filled with chatter and laughter, memories of childhood family get-togethers come flooding back, the smell of bacon & eggs fill the room and the staff are guzzling around attending to orders.

All the while my heart is filled with joy at the energy that fills the space which can only be described as authentic, unique and charming, leaving you with a warm feeling only a long lost friend could inspire.

The delightful staff at Lemonia brings out the food promptly, which are showcased on rustic dishes bringing to life the character of a family cottage, accompanied by the teacups, which are exquisite.

I have the honor of speaking to the owner who describes the discovery of this place as 'Right'; I assert that feeling lingers on in the atmosphere of Lemonia. This café abode has left an imprint, with a wailing memory wanting to be relived. A place I would recommend to anyone searching for a unique place to eat, drink and be merry!

Divine Love

Where colours complement rather than blend, where stories are shared rather than stolen, where life's are lived and Love is constant regardless of the change in season. In loves melody where perfection rests will we find our refuge.

Reality Television, is it Real?!

Last Night I was invited to attend a screening of an upcoming Australian reality show (name can't be shared here), you all know the one's that invite the audience to partake in a tally of votes that come to influence the judges choice.

In this case being part of the studio audience meant that I could make a 50 - 50 choice on who I wanted to vote for and go from there, that is scream really loud for the contestant I took a liking to!

Through careful observation it became apparent that the script for the show had already been written and the decision had already been pre-determined.

This in essence meant that even though we get a sense of competition this may not be the reality of what is happening behind the scenes, in Production rooms and meetings, very interesting.

The bubble was popped I was no longer just in a passive receiver of information rather my childhood dream of this being real, as the show points out reality show is in actual fact just another scripted broadcast, much like home and away, Bummer!

Needless to say I still had fun and left feeling exhausted after 5 hours of sitting and standing upon cue, and screaming for the likeable contestant, not that my screaming would have made a difference, but hey the audience at home doesn't know that, well maybe they do now.

Reality television, is it real?! You decide.

Mind over Matter

We have all heard the phrase Mind over Matter. Lately I have been pondering this.

Does that mean that if I assign a material or physical aliment to a disease, therefore it is. Surely then the opposite is true, if I claim my perfection of health then this becomes my reality. All things are as they are because as humans we assign them a name and a property.

A coffee is seen to the human perception as a drink that provides a much needed energy boost in the morning, does that then mean the energy would not exist without the coffee, surely not, does that then mean the property assigned to the coffee is incorrect.

You may have heard that when the indigenous people of Australia first saw white people they were alarmed and claimed them to be ghosts. For their human eye had never seen such an image, these people were left to base there own interpretations on the objects which stood before them. Once given a name and a property, it could then be made humanly tangible. For an object, a thing of matter is only what it is assigned to be, without that human interpretation it ceases to exist.

Therefore, if all is created through the mind then all can be changed this way. Be conscious of the lens that you choose to see your world view.

"Itchy Feet"

"Itchy Feet" the phrase brings to mind images from the movie Runaway Bride where Julia Roberts portrays a bride with a severe case of Itchy Feet. Lately this phrase has inhabited my human sphere, not in a marriage sense. Rather a case of impatience, like a child who can't wait for Christmas morning and spends the night before Christmas, much to the parents horror, awake in anticipation for the arrival of Santa.

Yes here I stand the night before the rest of my life with Itchy Feet in anticipation of what is to come impatiently wanting to move on like Runaway Bride, though it’s not a bride I am running from rather experiences I long for.

Europe, Paris, Rome. Like sweet candy I await the chance to embrace the sweetness of travel. Though, right now I've got a serious case of tinea. Waiting can make the destination more sweetful, well that's what I am telling myself.

Oh "Itchy Feet" please find another human to bother.
