Mind over Matter

We have all heard the phrase Mind over Matter. Lately I have been pondering this.

Does that mean that if I assign a material or physical aliment to a disease, therefore it is. Surely then the opposite is true, if I claim my perfection of health then this becomes my reality. All things are as they are because as humans we assign them a name and a property.

A coffee is seen to the human perception as a drink that provides a much needed energy boost in the morning, does that then mean the energy would not exist without the coffee, surely not, does that then mean the property assigned to the coffee is incorrect.

You may have heard that when the indigenous people of Australia first saw white people they were alarmed and claimed them to be ghosts. For their human eye had never seen such an image, these people were left to base there own interpretations on the objects which stood before them. Once given a name and a property, it could then be made humanly tangible. For an object, a thing of matter is only what it is assigned to be, without that human interpretation it ceases to exist.

Therefore, if all is created through the mind then all can be changed this way. Be conscious of the lens that you choose to see your world view.

"Itchy Feet"

"Itchy Feet" the phrase brings to mind images from the movie Runaway Bride where Julia Roberts portrays a bride with a severe case of Itchy Feet. Lately this phrase has inhabited my human sphere, not in a marriage sense. Rather a case of impatience, like a child who can't wait for Christmas morning and spends the night before Christmas, much to the parents horror, awake in anticipation for the arrival of Santa.

Yes here I stand the night before the rest of my life with Itchy Feet in anticipation of what is to come impatiently wanting to move on like Runaway Bride, though it’s not a bride I am running from rather experiences I long for.

Europe, Paris, Rome. Like sweet candy I await the chance to embrace the sweetness of travel. Though, right now I've got a serious case of tinea. Waiting can make the destination more sweetful, well that's what I am telling myself.

Oh "Itchy Feet" please find another human to bother.
